1,000 tokens is roughly 1,000 Chinese/Japanese/Korean/Thai/Hindi characters, or 4,000 English characters (750 English words).Speech is billed by the audio sent for recognition; none is sent with the microphone muted. To keep recognition complete, continuous speech is split into overlapping segments, and the overlap is billed. Actual usage is as the system counts it.
